The problem

Most businesses leak value in the same five places.

It rarely happens in one dramatic moment. It happens quietly: a filing slips, a forecast never gets built, a raise is rushed, a structure is left to chance, an exit is improvised. Each one is fixable, and each fix makes the next stage easier.

1

Foundations

Late or unreliable accounts

You cannot see profit, lenders hesitate and buyers discount the price. HMRC fills the silence with estimates.

What we doWe rebuild and run your books so the numbers are current, correct and ready for scrutiny.

2

Insight

Flying without a forecast

Growth quietly eats cash, decisions rely on instinct and every investor question needs a week to answer.

What we doWe provide the forecasts, reporting and finance leadership a growing business needs, part-time.

3

Capital

Raising money on the wrong terms

Wrong instrument, wrong timing, an unconvincing model: you give away too much or run out of runway.

What we doWe size the raise, build the financial case and stand beside you through the process.

Fundraising & Capital Strategy →
4

Structure

Paying tax that could have been planned away

Cash trapped in the company, loans left to age, groups built by accident, disputes left unanswered.

What we doWe design the structure and handle HMRC, so you keep more and sleep better.

Tax & Structuring →
5

Realisation

Selling without preparing

Buyers find the problems you did not, and re-trade the price in due diligence.

What we doWe value, prepare and negotiate, long before the offer arrives.

Why joined-up matters

Your accountant, your fundraiser and your tax adviser should be reading the same page.

In most businesses they are not. The accountant files but does not model. The broker finds money but does not check the numbers. The tax adviser answers a question nobody asked early enough. Each sees a slice, and the gaps between slices are where value disappears.

At Valumise, the team that produces your numbers also builds your forecast, presents to your lender, structures your tax and prepares your sale. One set of figures, one plan, one point of accountability.

How we are organised

The usual set-up

  • Accountant: files, rarely advises
  • Broker: finds money, trusts your numbers
  • Tax adviser: consulted after the decision
  • Lawyer: drafts what others decided
  • Gaps between all four

Valumise

  • One team, one set of numbers
  • Forecasts built on reconciled books
  • Tax planned before the transaction
  • Funders see a consistent story
  • Nothing falls between the chairs

Spain desk

Living in Spain with UK income, a UK company or UK property?

The costly mistakes happen in the gap between two tax systems. We close that gap, working alongside Spanish lawyers and advisers so you are compliant in both countries and overpaying in neither.

  • Your ISA and UK pensions are taxed differentlySpain does not give ISAs their UK tax shelter, and pensions follow treaty rules. We map every holding and plan how to draw and hold it.

Questions before you get in touch

What does Valumise actually do?

We are an advisory practice covering accounting and compliance, fractional CFO and modelling, fundraising, tax and structuring, corporate finance, and cross-border services for UK nationals in Spain. The common thread is building and protecting the value of your business.

Who do you work with?

Owner-managed companies, founders, investors, property owners and international families. Some clients use us for ongoing accounting, others for a single project such as a raise, a sale or a cross-border review.

Can you work alongside my existing accountant or lawyer?

Yes, and we often do. We coordinate directly with your other advisers so there are no gaps or duplicated work.

How do your fees work?

Recurring services are charged as a fixed monthly fee and projects as a quoted fixed fee or defined estimate. Everything is agreed in writing before we start.

Do you help with Spain if I am not yet resident?

Yes. The best time to plan a move is before it happens. We review your UK and Spanish position, advise on sequencing and coordinate with Spanish-qualified advisers.

How quickly will I hear back?

Every enquiry is read by a senior member of the team and we normally reply by email within one working day.
