Questions we are often asked
What is the difference between SEIS and EIS?
SEIS is aimed at very early-stage companies and carries lower funding limits and higher investor relief. EIS suits slightly more established companies and allows larger raises. Some companies use SEIS first, then EIS.
Do I need advance assurance?
It is not compulsory, but most investors expect it. It gives HMRC's view of your eligibility before shares are issued.
Can you help if we raised money before applying?
Sometimes. Whether relief remains available depends on timing and how the shares were issued, so we review the position before advising.
